'Whispers Of A Poppy Meadow' an original acrylic painting by Rachel Ryan - The simple yet elegant poppy has been the subject of many of my paintings. My first painting to hang and sell in an exhibition was a watercolour of a poppy meadow many many moons ago. Poppies are rich in symbolism—from remembrance, resilience, and regeneration, to love and passion in some cultures. For me, the image of a poppy meadow stirs fond memories of the Norfolk countryside, where I spent much of my childhood.
