'Celestial Wishes'

Inspiration
I don’t usually rely on reference photos when painting my wildflower meadows; instead, the process is fluid and intuitive. My initial choice of wildflowers often changes as the painting unfolds, guided more by what emerges on the canvas than by the original idea. With 'Celestial Wishes,' the colours played a significant role in shaping the painting. There’s an almost vintage feel, with rich emerald greens, burnt oranges, and soft yellows that evoke a sense of nostalgia. Dandelion seed heads and Cow's parsley—both in full bloom and skeletal- symbolize reflections of the past, bridging memory and time.
